The concept is based on the principles of the Wind Amplified Rotor Platform (WARP) System, developed by ENECO Texas LLC. The WARP utilizes horizontal saddle shaped geometries that channel airflow onto small wind turbines attached at the troughs. These principles can be integrated within envelope designs for the purpose of passively amplifying air flows. The shape amplifies the wind to up to twice the ambient speed, resulting in substantial increases in the amount of energy generated from the turbines.
